At what was supposed to be a casual dinner in San Francisco on the evening of February 5th, Jeffrey was surprised with an award from the Mayor of San Francisco attended by the Vice-Consul of Greece. The Certificate of Honor stated in part: "I am pleased to recognize and honor international best selling author Jeffrey Siger for his many contributions to the literary world...Your acclaimed books have not only explored modern Greek society and its ancient roots but have inspired political change in Greece. Congratulations on the debut of your latest novel Assassins of Athens and best wishes in all your future endeavors!"
A stunned and surprised Jeffrey was deeply appreciative of this extraordinary honor from the City of San Francisco and its Mayor, the Honorable Gavin Newsom.
